Watch for announcement of the 2023 Gourd Jack o' lantern Challenge

2022 Gourd Jack o’ lantern Challenge
Your Idaho Gourd Society will be holding a Gourd Jack o’ Lantern challenge, which in turn will benefit our upcoming IDGS festival. This is how it works.
Between now and August 13, 2022, each member is invited to create a gourd Jack o’ lantern. Your Jack o’ lantern can be any size, style or using any technique as long it’s made out of gourd(s). Each Jack o’ lantern will be brought or delivered to our August 13, 2022 monthly membership meeting and entered into competition. Judging will be done by the members in attendance using an anonymous number ballot. The winner of the challenge will receive a 2023 IDGS paid family membership. Each Jack o’ lantern entered into competition will be donated and sold in our Gourd Store during our festival. Gourds will be sold for $20.00 or less. Are you up for the challenge?
Have fun and good luck!
Official Rules-
  1. You must be a current member of the Idaho Gourd Society to play.
  2. Entry must be the sole work of the entrant.
  3. Only one Jack o’ lantern per member can be entered.
  4. Jack o’ lantern must be made from gourd(s).
  5. Jack o’ lantern must be donated to the IDGS gourd store and will be sold at a price determined by the gourd store.
  6. You must bring or have delivered your entry to the August 13, 2022 membership meeting for judging.
  7. Alan Sweeney and or the IDGS board of directors may add to or change these rules in the case of any discrepancy.
  8. In the clear case of a tied vote, a coin toss will determine the winner.
