Artistry: creative ability. Inks, paints, dyes, weaving, carving, sculpting, cutting, burning, drawing - no matter the media or technique gourds provide an ideal organic medium to create on.  The more you work on gourds the more creative and skilled you'll become. You don't have to be an artist since many techniques are easy to learn.
